RFID Tags

RFID labels and tags are the building blocks of RFID systems, enabling seamless data exchange. They capture RF signals from antennas and readers, transmitting critical information about tagged items to your centralized database for efficient tracking and management.

RFID tags can be categorized as either active or passive. Active tags contain their own battery, which allows them to transmit a signal to a reader. On the other hand, passive tags do not have any power source and can only be detected when they are within the range of a radio frequency signal from a reader.

Typical applications for active RFID encompass advanced asset tracking and real-time location systems (RTLS). In contrast, passive RFID is well-suited for inventory checkpoints, compliance monitoring, and wWIP scenarios.

Getting Started with RFID

Initiating an RFID system involves more than simply purchasing a reader and attaching a tag to the items you wish to monitor. Our solutions are thoughtfully tailored to meet the specific needs of your warehouse, ensuring that we carefully assess the optimal combination of RFID tags, readers, antennas, printers, and software for your application.

With over two decades of experience in warehouse operations, we have encountered numerous challenges and setbacks during RFID system implementations. By partnering with RMS Omega, you will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who will serve as your primary contact throughout the entire process. We provide comprehensive support from the initial project design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance, as well as optimization and analysis of your RFID system for years to come.
